Spooners Logs for all your firewood logs and kindling supplies |
Our Products from Spooners Logs
Firewood Logs and Kindling
We supply hardwood logs and kindling harvested from Beech, Oak, Silver Birch and Ash trees. Our logs are ideal for burning in fireplaces, chimeneas and open fires.
We can supply logs in the standard 8” to 10" size, or logs can be cut to suit your requirements.
Firewood logs are sold in bulk bags as seen here, each giving approximately 1 cubic metre in volume:
Log Production
Our logs are all harvested from locally managed sustainable British forests and woodlands in Surrey and Hampshire. Our logs are seasoned for a minimum of 12 months.
We use the very latest wood processing equipment, one of which can be seen here:
Burn Our Logs To Help Conserve Our Planet
We at Spooners Logs are very conscious about your environment and we would like to help you reduce your carbon footprint with our products.
When using our Spooners Logs firewood in a wood burning stove, you will also benefit from lower CO² emissions. Our logs are a carbon neutral way of heating a house - while the tree was growing, it was taking pollutants from the atmosphere which negates the effect of burning the wood in the home. Our logs provide a renewable heating source from a local supplier – an ideal way to reduce your carbon footprint and help conserve our planet!
When you burn wood, you release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. In 2003, a study by the CSIRO for the Australian Greenhouse Office (AGO) found that “sustainable firewood production systems have the potential to reduce carbon dioxide emissions”. Much of the carbon that is absorbed and stored in the wood of living trees is released as the wood rots down, or when the residues from clearing or forest harvesting are burnt. Under sustainable forest management systems such as the one we use, all of this released carbon is then reabsorbed by the actively regrowing forest – a carbon neutral cycle. If instead of being burnt in-situ, the residues from sustainable managed forests are harvested and used for firewood, no additional carbon dioxide is created (apart from a small amount from chainsaw fuel, road transport, and splitting machines). Using this carbon neutral form of bio-energy to replace energy derived from fossil fuels such as coal generated electricity, natural gas or LPG, inevitably results in an overall reduction in total greenhouse gas emissions.
The AGO study also found that, “In terms of limiting net greenhouse gas emissions, firewood is generally more favourable for domestic heating than other non-renewable fossil fuel sources of energy.”

Premium Turf is a very high quality turf grade which is suitable for domestic lawns.
RTF (Rhizomatous Tall Fescue) Turf is a new generation of turf that sends its roots much deeper into the soil and will withstand water logging and drought. With its deep roots, it is very suitable for London clay soils. With its capability for self repairing, it is ideal for areas of high usage. It is also recommended for shady lawns.
